Our approach ended up being very similar to that of ultra high-end, automotive or aerospace companies where they don’t compromise on technology or luxury, with the result being truly amazing products. Taking this approach allowed us to optimize almost every aspect of our pressure-relieving smart bed. With cost not being our driving factor, we were able to contemplate a significantly more sophisticated engineering design that used true mattress springs. Ciridian’s custom engineered, metal coil mattress springs provide a responsive rebound or push-back, resulting in exceptional comfort as opposed to “air mattress” type systems that don’t behave like springs and have more of a “bottoming out” sensation.

The finished design is a precision-engineered smart bed built around a matrix of 400 independently controlled smart springs in a king-size layout. Each spring behaves like its own “pixel,” working autonomously to create an almost infinitely adjustable pressure profile. Most importantly, it delivers on its core promise: elevating comfort and sleep, the fundamental driver of wellbeing, recovery, and enduring health.

The Ciridian bed measures the weight being supported by each spring. A propriety algorithm takes those 400 individual weights and identifies high pressure areas under the body. It then averages out the pressure or weight being supported by each spring in the high-pressure zone utilizing our proprietary algorithm. It then individually softens some springs and firms up others to completely average out the weight support by every spring in a pressure zone.

Depending on body physiology – the algorithm is capable of identifying multiple pressure zones and treating them individually. It will even accommodate your 90 lb lab sleeping in bed with you. Treating your pet at its own induvial pressure zone!
